Does anyone know of an environment layer for the 5.0 OS? I have searched everywhere that I can think of but no luck as yet. I am just after something simple that allows basic control of the virus (part volume/filter levels and the ability to specify the multi-program parts etc from within Logic). I have tried comming to grips with the SysEx MIDI implementation of this monster, but I think it will take quite a while and I just want to get writing tracks again.

Regards.

Steve.

Well, I have had a couple of days off with flu, so I have made a couple of environment layers for the Virus C. One for multi mode that controls the various part parameters (Output, MIDI channel, Volume, etc) and one for the single mode. The single mode layer is fantastic for creating patches, and is alot easier to use than the Virus interface itsself as it puts all of the controls, right in-front of you. It covers almost all of the functions, with the exception of Assigns 1,2&3 because they don't seem to respond to SysEx. If anyone would like these layers just drop me an e-mail and I'll send it to ya!

Regards.

Steve.
