i am trying to hook up pc up to my a3000
-when i connect the scsi lead into my pc, then turn on the a3000 it freezes. do i need to give the pc a scsi id number and mount it?
- i have downloaded tiny waves but when i launhc it it keeps saying somethnig baout a dynamic path not being found.
- i have tried the other midi based editor but again it doesn't seem to be able to make a connection.

any suggestions gratefully received.

is the pc on when you start the a3k? try starting the sampler first and then turn on your pc, not in the biblical sense of course. i don't have to mount the pc to get it working. (oh, there's mileage in this one!)

also, try out wavesurgeon, which is a good app for transferring samples.

Sampler won't see PC, PC won't see sampler... chicken and egg...

1st turn on PC, wait for WINDOWS then turn on Sampler...

then go to hardware profiles (depends on platform) and tell the HW list to REFRESH... BOOM, a whole bunch (6) a3000's represented by a "?"...

That's the way. But may not be why you're having this problem. Windows XP has given me SCSI headaches with my A3K... No answers yet.
