OK, I have no idea how Danny Tenaglia created this bass, and, to be honest, I don't really care. But it is something that has eluded me for a long time and while the chance is here I will let you guess. This is a bassline that I can only describe as "Spewing!" and it has to be my favorite bassline ever. So, if you think you are hard enough, you know what to do!

My low end isn't nasally enough and my high end isn't electro enough (it's mostly filter whistle, and it should be another osc), but it's similar in effect at least.

And I gotta eat... get me away from this synth!!!! ARRRRRRGH!!! :}

there's the eq/filter frequencies - that peak at around 400hz is a killer

I had an idea for a script once. It's basically Jaws except when the guys in the boat are going after Jaws, they look around and there's an even bigger Jaws. The guys have to team up with Jaws to get Bigger Jaws.... I call it... Big Jaws!!!

it sounds like its using two oscs but one doesn't track the pitch of the keyboard but the other does... the nord modular and lead 3 can do that....

maybe not?

all these what's the synth posts are making me want to spend time at the nord!!!!

I dunno what you folks would use but I could practically make that thing in my sleep with my Q.

Two filters, seially, low, then hi, with the lo-pass, being modulated by a thin pulse wave (osc 3?) and osc one set to 0% keytracking, and tuned appropriately, with the balance adjusted between the two filters. Filters should be 12db, I suspect. osc2 set to a thin pulse wave as well and sent all to filter 1. that should get you close. bring the cut-off on the hi-pass up as needed, and boost the res to build useable thickness. sound about right?
