Who knows *for sure* wheter it's analog or wheter it's VA? Is 200 Euro a good price for a 2nd hand BS Kb in good condition?

its real analogue for sure (as is the SBS), seems some people would only be convinced by opening it up and having a look...

oh, and listening to it is a bit of a giveaway.

Well, I can't really listen to it...it's in this other guys studio and I'm about to buy it.

Anyway, the Novation site freaked me out with this description: "This synthesizer uses analog sound emulation to reproduce the sounds of a monophonic 2-VCO analog synthesizer with the same simple and intuitive controls via 17 knobs, 10 switches and 2 Moog-style pitch/mod wheels."(notice that they spell synth with a : z", not with an "s" like on the nova)

Everybody else calls it analog. Not that I'm totally anal about these things, but I finally wanted to buy one to be my first real analog (apart from my dinky hammond drumbox.

Anyone still using these on dt?

I did...guess what: some keys where a bit dodgy...so I decided to clean em...stupidest thing I ever did. Left them in the windowpane to dry...after I cleaned them. BUT there's a bloody central heating right neneith it that got repaired *today*....the heat was left turned on and I was out shoping.

I have 3 keys now that look more like bananas then like keys...argh...i feel so stupid...

I can still play it thru midi (it seems to lower its volume every now and then tho...) or with the rubber pads inside the machine...

any1 knnow where i can get replacement keys?

Well the A-station has some pretty shitty keys then... ;)... I'll call my music store after christmas.

Does it also use the same circuit board for the keys? Cause then I could replace the whole thing I wanted too.

p.s. The BStation does sound ver impressive...rather 'wild' (in a good way)

eek! but you've got enough keyboards already, dont you? but then you'd have to use midi *shiver*   anyway, congrats on the new synth.

Huh, Midi is dead? Innit....It seems the BS uses pretty common 'fatar' keys...so I might be able to hunt down some of those pretty fast.

Still I will set me back about 24euro...well....200 + 24 euro for this lil' baby are most defenitely still worth it.

It's so evil and nasty....in a good way.
