Weehoo! Last night I ordered my PC upgrade. Check it out:

Western Digital Caviar 120GB IDE 7200RPM
Special Edition 8MB cache WD1200JB

Crucial SDRAM PC133 256MB CL2
Unbuffered, 3.3V, 32Meg x 64, 7.5ns

Sapphire Radeon 9000 Atlantis 128MB DDR
AGP, ATI 9000, DVI, TV-Out, Retail

Hansol 19" CRT 920D TCO-99 FLAT
Skjerm INVAR, DynaFlat

I already got a 20 gigs harddrive and 256 megs of ram.. I'm really looking forward to get this upgrade, so that I finally can use the cds bedwyr got me ;)

I had one of those WD drives - nice and fast, and not too noisy either. Looks like a nice setup - what processor you using?

thanks, I have a 930 mhz AMD Duron. I believe that ram and enough harddrive space is more important than a top notch CPU

But of course if I had a 200 mhz processor I would seriously consider getting a cpu upgrade too :-)

Well I'm stuck on a 21" big boy, and I won't change until 20" or 21" flatscreens are reasonably priced.

Mind you, I do enjoy being 'stuck' on this monitor!

Si - 19" flatscreen = 21" CRT.

Hmmm, didn't realise that. We had a few Dell 20 inchers a couple of months back and I would have killed for them.

I'll have to check out those 19" flatscreens then.

Cheers!

Si.

Just be sure to unplug the monitor when there's a thunder storm coming in... Learn from my mistake.

CRT Monitor sizes are the size of the CRT tube.. LCD sizes are visible area.. So you want to compare the visible area on a CRT to the size of an LCD. My 19" monitor at home is like 17.1" viewable - about the same size as my 17" LCD at work.
