Hi,
I wonder if this is possible: on my arrange page my tracks are arranged, 1-24 for drums, 25-32 bass, 33-48 effects etc. Once I've laid down all the drums I want to move on other parts of arragement, further down the arrange page and the drums get in the way & I'd like to "hide" tracks 1-24. I've had a play with the folders feature but all it does is combine the objects/parts into a single object - it doesnt hide the tracks. Is there a way to do this? I know I could create different screensets but I havent got any spare. Ideally I'd like to be able to expand/reduce folders with the use of [+] and [-] icons (like in windows explorer). Does this sort of feature exist within logic?

Thanks,
tone

huh? sure it does. i havent used folders in years, but as far as i remember thats exactly what it does: you select a bunch of tracks and it packs them into a folder which you then see as a single track on your screen. when you want to view the contents you doubleclick it and it will open and show you the tracks and objects contained. umm... can it be that you still see the tracks in the arrange after packing the folder or something? maybe you just need to delete them and they will still be inside the folder. my memory is a bit rusty but give it a shot...

You only see the top 2/3rds of the screen? I'd recommend buying a ladder..

:-) on the table i have my logic control, mac keyboard etc as normal. but i have the monitor on a lower table so i can look "down" which is more comfortable and it allows more of the sound from the monitors to come thru. i got the idea from howard jones' studio although i prefer to have the monitor MUCH lower.
