hi,
Im new here and just thought I would take the chance at a blatent plug :-)
I'm a small (one man) company based in the UK, making unqiue Digital/Analogue hybrid synths, capturing the best of both.
The Monowave has two oscillators, each has 256 waveforms and a sub osc, each oscillator has a unqiue 'deres' functions which lowers the sample rate of the waveforms being played back to give a more gritty/harsh sound.
The oscillator feed into a Classic Moog 24dB Ladder filter which can be over-driven and give that much sort after moog smoothness, only found in this design of filter.
The VCF/VCA and both EGs are 100% analogue, so wont experience any zipper noise.
There is an LFO and a built in arpeggiator.
This is only a limited run of these Unique Synths and currently only 8 remain to be sold.
Visit this page ;- http://www.modulus.synth.net/monowave/
and have a look and listen for yourself..
Comments and suggestions are welcome!
Paul

I own two of these. I just love the straight forward design. And its unique sound possiblities. Playing original deresed PPG waves through a real analogue Moog filter is a must have for me as former PPG user. Therefor I fell in love with the Modulus MonoWaves at first sight and sound :-)
And the ARP mode C and Cs aren't common at all. But VERY musical. The ARP midi clock sync is absolutely tight. And the ARP is one of those rae found once that listen to the step in the bar and not only to the clock without possition. This will make eg. a 1/4 note always trigger on the right spot: the 1/4 of your drummachine. And this works very well, even if you trigger the notes of the right beat. Its unique!
8 units left ?
I bet they will be all gone in a few weeks !
keep on turning these knobs

"i thought it was funny, but I don't think he fooled anyone :D"
I wrote the first post, and asked some of the Monowave owners if they could post a comment.
check out the websites if you wish, you'll see we are not only two different people, but in two different countries...
and I dont mind admitting I was trying to plug my synth, but I wouldn't cheat by replying to my own messages, there are enough Monowave owners out there who are willing to comment for me..

Im just trying to figure out how to add it the Synths list..
Also under which catagory? its half digital (oscillators) and half analogue (VCF/VCA/EG) ?

still quite funny actually
best thing to do would have been to provide a link to a reviews page or something.

Weird. This man (Till Kopper) already owns 2 Waldorf WAVES but seems to need more money for a 3rd one by doing advertising jobs ;-)
But now for serious: there seem to be a few subjects in the DT forum who haven't yet heard about the Monowave. Please post in The lounge only until you've done your homeworks ;-)

so I went and looked...seems cool..but 550ukp for a mono synth is quite high nowadays. waldorf pulse can be found for $250 us!
