There's no end. I just got NI Electronic Instruments for Reaktor and then looked at the site horizons put a link to in this forum for Reaktor modules. Oh man. So now there're even more to download.

How is oddity?

sounds GREAT

really tricky to program. honestly...dont like it. but Im leaning more and more toward not likin softsynths much.

the layout on the oddity is ODD. and designations are SO small! (1280x1024)

it does sound damn good though

softsynths rule man. I can't believe the stuff I get out of them for like $10 or free or $99 from Jupiter clone to granular. And big sound. Lovely.

I think kontakt is unnecessarily complicated. It does neat stuff, but it seems NI is more interested in making their synths look cool in screenshots than to make then actually useable. I mean, new and interesting user interfaces is what computing is all about. But making them pretty isn't making them better.

I agree. Kontakt is little more than carpal tunnel in a pretty box. Somebody really needs to bumrush the NI compound and impress upon them what a wonderfully simple yet functional UI a baseball bat has.

LOL! We talking BATtery? I admit I don't use a software sampler but then I don't use my hw sampler much either. I've found the synths much easier to navigate. More buttons and sliders mean fewer layers.

Was just looking at it finally. Looks awesome. Can't listen to demos at work though. It the site gives a price in UK currency.

It looks like I won't be getting one anyway. It looks and probably is great but for that price. If I was I'd take you up on it. I don't know Influx. S/w is different for sure. I don't know how you work but if in some way you can stick it out there's no beating these things. Now that I'm back writing, Reaktor is just blowing me away. The 2 tracks I wrote in the last 2 weekends are mostly Reaktor. 3 basses from the Juno 106. I could've done a better job on them too. Actually the 2nd bass toward the end of the 2nd track I guess I forgot to line up some of the midi notes   and didn't fix the line. Oh well. I don't know man. If there was anything I could do to help you get comfortable with softsynths I gladly would.

And I'm surprised Oddity's not a download. Looks like they ship it. Maybe for the manual which is always nice if that's the case.
