Sorry for posting a bunch of questions lately, but my soundcard crashes logic and fucks the sound. I have a SB audigy live which just sucks. I wanna get a new soundcard and have a 200$ budget...what is the best for that price and most compatible with logic if possible? Thanks so much~

Andrew

PS: I found an audiophile one that was 149.99 and another SB but better one that was 179.99 so far-- i don't really know anything about soundcards so have no clue of even what to look for. Help! =)

Ok, cool. Do you think it may be a driver problem and not card? Cause if i can just download drivers somewhere, that 200 would go towards a mixer and unbroken headphones=)

well read the threads in this here forum, there's tons of combinations that could be the cause of it... the card, drivers, buffer settings, your mobo, irq settings, etc etc... but trying newest drivers is always a good place to start.

Hehe too late- bought a audiophile 2496 thingie. It scares me. It sounds so good, but in logic it fucks up and gets an overload too...im so confused! I'm gonna post yet another question in the logic forum for those logic heads.

Thanks man for all your help,

Andrew

how do,

hope someone here can help me out. i have been using a yamaha sw60xg card for ages and am still happy with it but my old pc is nearing the end of its life and im thinking about the future.

i like the idea of getting a sw1000xg..is this a good card? but need to know if i would be able to use that card with soft synths like dynamo? or if i want to use dynamo would i need something [such as the freqently mentioned midiman audiophile card?]. as i said i have been happy with the sw60...can dynamo/reaktor exceed or replicate the 'synthesizer' tones of the yamaha card [not the gm ones]....

sorry for asking basic questions-this is from someone who still uses his fostex fourtrack.... but help in clarifying this will help my brain vastly!

thanks
