I want to learn how to record sounds and effect's for creating my own mixes i have no idea where to start. could someone offer some help?

Are you talking about recording from a set of vinyl/Cd decks into a computer, or writing your own tunes and adding them into a mix?

yeah, and do you mean so you can play these fx etc live during your set - in which case you'll need some sort of portable player unless you intend to do it via CD player - Also, do you already record your mixes to the PCA from your decks/mixer and recompile them or what?

Wow ..grouch you are in luck, we are currently holding a contest for the best uses of flatulence and other bodily sound effects incorporated into your mixes. Such as fart to the beat and rim shot on my nutz... =) hows that, maybe that can clear up the problem with cub-ass u r havin.

well...we are still struggling with the fart-to-the-beat bit....it's some pretty heavy competition we're talking about.
results will be in by april....hopefully.
