I'm often recording kick, bass and many other sounds from GIGA sampler and other synths.

I wonder how to avoid faze cancelation.

Often kick or bass is in stereo form and when I record it on mono track, sound very different.

Any idea or link to site which deals with the issue!?

in the case of a stereo kick that I want to make mono, I usually take only one side of it to avoid phase cancellation. Pick the best sounding side.
