OK so you can rap over beats but is it alright to play instruments over fuly armed and complete tunes being spun by bandmember dj's?

Indeed thats whot i thought, I mean sometimes it rocks but most times the playing dont cut it or cuts up some good playing in the tune.

I did tell them to use beats and instrumentals wherever possible - Did I do good or should I have mentioned public masterbation?
