Cake's offering a discount on the new release of the moog modular. I'm seriously thinking of getting it based on the demos of it I heard.

Haha. I ordered it 2 days ago. I have a 19" monitor so we'll see how that works. Can always up my resolution.

I got the Moog yesterday. I've never been so floored by a single synth right out of the box! THis is the real deal.

K if you can get your hands on one of these to do a review of check it out. I think you're gonna be floored, totally.

All this flooring discussion is reminding me that my kitchen floor needs to be redone. Thanks Sitar, as if a new electrical panel and heating system aren't enough...

"i think Sitar actually wants k to give him some tips on where to start with patching ;)"

that too :P

But really guys. This thing is like nothing I've had hardware or software. If you have the original Moog Modular then you don't need this except that you can save patches you make in the software version. I think k would go nuts with this thing.

You have to see the cables. When you pass your mouse over them they move as if a breeze just went by. But that's irrelevent with this. I did some patching last night and this synth is like nothing I've heard. The filter sweeps alone are enough to make you go holy shit! And this is my thus far effortless observation.

I have Moog Mod V and I agree with Sitar - Nice. Sounds much more 'alive' and less static than most other soft synths. It's really hard to describe the sound without using cliched superlatives.
