Well, this is my first remix attempt, and the subject is Clay's "Last Look Back". Arrangement and mixing was done in a hurry (after a two weeks long writer's block), so at least there are some minor tweaks to do in the coming days.

As I said I've never did a remix before, and now I have the feeling that I've gone too far with this piece (despite my efforts to try to stick to the original as much as possible), but now it's too late to worry about that, isn't it?

So folks, go ahead, tell me what you think!

I don't think you went too far at all, love the orchestral-sounding instruments. Very nice indeed.

sounds great- little rough here and there

composition is excellent! some of the sounds are screaming and crying for reverb! like the orchestra strings in the beginning...too cut off. I also dont think they are present enough.

At 26, that harpsichord is great, but needs reverb methinks! too upfront..

I LOVE the arp break with the flute- WOW that's cool. Do that again please?

Don't be afraid of the reverb! haha

Ya got this one down, I'd love to have a full hifi of the final (the songfile here is odd, it says it only has 2 mins yet it is longer...i hate it when that happens..fuck WMP)

Clay, remember Erasure's Two Ring Circus, the orchestral renditions? Reminds me of that.

BS: you're absolutely right, I couldn't turn up the volume last night (neighbours must have some sleep, otherwise they keep fighting and arguing all day long :-), but here in the office I can hear those dry parts as well. Will be fixed, and I also have some ideas about the arrangement, lets see if they work or not.

Incorrect song length is bcoz of the average bitrate compression, under the playlist it should appear correctly (maybe not during streaming?).

I will upload the new version as soon as it's ready, and there will be a hifi version too for those who's interested.

really nice sounds.. and an original arrangement too. Wierd track tho, it's not danceable and I can't layback and really space away to it.. hehe- I dont know what to do

Neat neart neat. Reall like the whole thing, it needs a bit of mix fixing but compositionally and soundwise is really nice, peaceful.

Well, thank you to all for the listens and votes.. I've just updated this track, a new version with better arrangement (probably) better mixing (maybe) and more compression (definetly :-). Oh, and it's also slightly longer!
