Ok I have a problem. I'm using cubase vst and trying to record audio files. I play the cd that i want to record and it has some huge echo that gets bigger and ruins the sonmg. This is also apparent when the metronome is clicking and when any other noise plays whilst cubase is open. All I wanna do is record, is there anything I can do to stop this loud babble??? Please help meeeeee. Could u also pleasse tell me how I would use the preset sounds from my keyboard instead of the ones on my soundcard???

if you have a cd...try turning the song into an audio aiff or wav file and then drag THAT onto your cubase audio channels.
it sounds like you might be getting some kind of feedback loop as you're playing
AND recording at the same time through your soundcard.

as for playing your external keyboard.....if you're on amac you need to set up with oms and then select your cubase midi-channel to match your device's midi-channel.

i'm guessing you don't have a manual?

there are some very good cubase books available.
i'd recommend cubase power if you're serious about wanting to drive your thing anywhere.

yes, import cd audio files using an editor - it's way easier and lossless.

is it a SBLive by any chance? - you need to give some details of your setup.

I'm assuming you play the keyboard and hear the soundcard GM sounds... what sequencer is it U use? - we need these details to tell you what to do

I had an idea for a script once. It's basically Jaws except when the guys in the boat are going after Jaws, they look around and there's an even bigger Jaws. The guys have to team up with Jaws to get Bigger Jaws.... I call it... Big Jaws!!!
