Subject: Akai_Z8

Hi,
I have a Z4/Z8 related question:
The Akai S5000/6000 uses the *.akp files with 16 bit wav files.
The Akai Z4/Z8 can read the *.akp files, but it is also a 24bit/96Khz sampler.
So: is it possible for the Z4/Z8 to read *.akp files with ** 24 bit ** wav files?

Out of curiosity, why would you want to do this? If the Z series doesn't use the same .akp file structure for its programs, then you'd be importing an S5000/S6000 format program, and its samples would be 16-bit 44.1khz samples. If the formats for the .akp are the same, then the obvious answer is that it would.

I have a 24 bit sample set, and will create a sample cd from these 24 bit samples. It will not work with S56k, but they should with the Z series, if the AKP format works.
Am I right?

I still don't see how you're going to create an akp without loading some kind of samples into a sampler.

Akp-s are ready and works fine with 16 bit samples, it is tested on VSampler (it imports akp).
THE QUESTION: if I replace the 16 bit samples to the 24 bit version of the same sounds, will it work on the Z4/8? This is all..
