Hi

I need some tution on bit rate. I am struggling with the theory. Should I mix down to 24 bit because I understood that CDR's can only take 16 bit so will I lose quality if I mixdown to 24 bit. Plus, if I make a bongo gritty by lowering the bit rate on my drum vsti will this then be changed back up to 16 bit when I burn the CDR?

yeah... file that under 'SOS reader'

basicaly - why dont you do both - render one file at 16 and one at 24... dither the 24 down in wavelab or whatever, and then play both resulting 16 bit files .... listen... hear any difference?
