and I actually know one. don't know what to call this except club music with hints of techno but it's real nice. the element introduced a little before 5.00 is almost scary how much I like it. and for once the mix is quite good :P I could actually hear this on a dance floor...

Is that bass supposed to be panned hard left? Definitely recommend moving it center. Very nostalgic feel to it. Now where did I put my foghorn?

Sitar, this is a great track but for me to call it 'dabomb' it needs the following. 1.
The low end to be cleaned up- Theres a lot of conflict going on between your
bass drum and your basslins and the bass drum, panning is a start, but efx and
eq are a better idea with low sounds. Why you ask? Because a)low
frequencies effect us more physically than aurally, you don't need to 'feel it' in
stereo. b)Because low frequencies 'usually' go to a sub, and subs are almost
never stereo 2. Don't make me walk funny!- Right now that 1 item panned hard
left is making me fall over to my left when I'm listening to it. If I put it in my CD
player right now, it will make me walk funny. It IS a kickass track though, I'll just
have to carry something heavy in my right hand for now.

Peaceout,

Peter

lol! I think it doesn't hurt if every now and then people look funny on the dance floor. I cut quite a bit at 60db maybe I didn't Q tight enough or cut too much. I'm not setup in my flat to hear bass accurately, not even close. Thanks for the input gents. I'm actually going to work some more on this track over the weekend. I might push up the bpm some so it doesn't sound so much like disco but I did like the chilled groove at 120 bpm. I pushed it to 123 to get it a little shorter so it would come under the lo fi upload wire.

Thanks for the input gents.

Dude, I like it, in fact, you could work that bass panning
like have it switch every few measures from left to right. Or find get something
similar to follow it on the other side and keep it where it is. I like the groove
you've got going with it.
Dun dun dundun dodododidididididi, heheh, I like it!

Thanks Mike. I like the panning idea. Hadn't thought of that either. Just think, people could line dance. When the bass pans left they go left. When it pans right they go right. Line dancers need all the help they can get.

eh, funny i missed this ! me like. but that's still the left panned bass one.

nice mellow groove. a bit reminiscent of vasquez's FSNY

no chance for me to sprain an ankle on this one.

"Line dancers need all the help they can get."
