It's been a while since anything new has come from over here, but check it out, I
have a new track in the works-- I have it uploaded here at DT, the track is called
Second Stab, let me know what you think--it's on the border of nuskool, but I'm
not going to say that it is exactly, caause its not. So anyways, I hope you enjoy
it as much as I did makin it!
Peace!
-Mike

I like it man. Very good track. I'm not sure what I'd call it either. I think I'd just
call it D'n B personally. I really like you gritty techy sounds.

Peaceout,

Peter

Hey milan, thanks for the words? Yeah, been too long in my opinion, but been
busy w/ work, school and another project (Almost DONE as of this week!), so
that hasnt left much time for my own stuff. But anyhow... I have worked on it
more, and now it's like 6:00 or so, but it's almost 2 tracks...you could say a
second movement...But now that one is left half finished and a tad sloppy. BUT, I
would like to see what you guys think about it.
I had some trouble putting it up at DT, but it's up at http://
lucidskies.dmusic.com...I will keep trying DT too. But yeah...it's up, check it out,
it's new.
BTW, that glitchy lead is my Waldorf MicroQ sequenced in Logic, then bounced
to audio, chopped here and there and EQed.
Peace!
Mike

i'm wondering if you're on a mac too mike....since i've also been experiencing problems uploading here....over 2 weeks now.
anyway...i haven't heard your new version but what i heard last week....
i liked much about the beat and definitely the progression and synth-sound....except for that chop-and-slice hiccup-y element you threw into it.
those chords were VERY smooth and friendly and had a pureness about them which i'm always a sucker for.
but as electronicians....we can't resist playing with what "might happen if" we...smash this slice-that...hey...it's fun as hell to experiment. BUT!!!!!
come time for final delivery.....i say minimize anything that doesn't further the main idea. it's always a tricky call what that might mean.....but hiccup stops and starts...

(for me at least)....kinda qualify.

i think an enrichening or voluminizing of the textures within your main theme might somehow lend greater beauty to the piece.....which after all....it is.

Yeah clay, I too am on mac, I think thats where our problems lay...
Anyways, thanks for the feedback. This piece I am planning on making
somewhere around 15:00, and constantly change it up, as something new I
suppose.
You're right though, I don't let the main idea of the first movement go for long
enough, I could probably add another minute to that movement easily, and I have
been thinking of doing that anyways. As for after this new part I've added, I have
no clue whats to come...it's bound to be a spur of the moment thing that mutates
from it. (Thats when I have tiiiiiime!)
