Influx and anyone else into breaks, I've got a new track done called Xenon. I'm looking for some feedback. Thanx in advance.

Thanks for the reply guys. Bluescreen I guess I should really take that as a complement if your not even really into breaks. GM I tried distorting the drums but the only software effects I have are in Cakewalk which is a pretty basic recording program and the effects suck. So the end result was really mudding and sounded like crap. I'm in the process of acquiring some better software but I need to upgrade my shitty computer first. Anyways, thanks for the listen.

Cheers Hydrofonix,

Have you tried using those shitty distortion plugins as a send effect? I mean it is not neccesary to ruin all of those drums completely, just send a little to an effect bus with a distortion effect on it. Also, you might want to put an eq before the dist plugin, so you won't get lo frequency rumble.

I tried playing around with all of it and never really came up with anything I liked. I'm still playing with the drum arrangement and sounds, I'm not %100 happy with it. I'll probably end up scrapping the beat and trying something different as this is still the rough draft. Thanks for the suggestion Welder.

Hoola there Hydro--I'm a breaks guy myself. This is a really good idea, I love
that dark, dirty bass. The drums at the begining are sweet, maybe just a tad
more variation in them. Now when the drums kick in, thats tight--however, I think
the groove snare (or whatever is introduced into the drums at that point) needs to
be mixed in better, I suggest just playing with some different modulation plugs.
As far as the song itsself though, I think is pretty bad ass, keeps me pretty
interested throught the whole thing. There are a few sounds in there that you only
introduce a couple of times that are reallybad ass, and I like that a lot--maybe
make a couple more unique sounds like that and put them inthere to fill up some
space, but not too much, just a little.
I'll listen to some of your other stuff when I get some time--pretty cool stuff tho so
far!
