Subject: Cubase sx HELP!

For some strange reason my Cubase SX 2 will not open, it gets as far as scanning plug-in's during booting up then decides not to work and wants to send an error report to microsoft ( as if they'd know whats wrong!!! ).
I took Alan Signalrunner's advice by un-installing all plug ins that i had on my HD, but this hasnt helped. I have no viruses coz i have done like a million checks and i got rid of a lot of old sh*t of my HD that doesnt get used, and it hasnt solved the problem. Neither has umpteen re-install's.
anyone any ideas, its starting to get on my nerves. i was thinking about re-formating my entire HD but thats the last option i want to take.
