mpc's are so underwhelming these days. akai introduces new models with features that should have been added 2-3 years ago. i just don't see how any of them are much of an improvement over a 3000 or a 60 with an updated OS.

And I totally understand where you're coming from- but I'm still very much in love with my MPC2kxl and certainly welcome some of the features on the 2500. Of course, that is if the price will be around what the MPC2k originaly was...

as a 2kxl owner/user i must agree with soup- there was nothing on the 1000, 4000 or this new model that got me going- you either use an mpc/hardware seq or you use a pc- akai are trying to marry the two and are cocking it up- price alaon isn't worth it when you think what you could do with a pc and an mpd...
