Original Message 1/3 10-Sep-05 @ 05:05 PM - Roland JUPITER 6 note problem [Link: Roland - JUPITER 6]
does not work in poly mode. It seems to be a random thing, if I
press a note, play 5 more then the sixth is silent. In Unison and
Solo mode things are fine. I contacted Roland and they told me
the following: "You need a service note , you have to go in
service mode , JP-6 have 6 osc. 6 amp/filter , from service mode
you can activate one by one."
I also talk to this local electronics/synth repair guy and he told
me that I have a broken part in the Jup (not sure which one I
live on an island far far away (Iceland) and the knowlege in
analog synth maintainance is zero.
Dont seem to find the answer to this riddle hope you guys can
help Thanks in advance.

someone who can replace it for me over here, the tricky part is finding out which chip i need.
From what I have there are 2 types for the JP6: 12 CEM3360 VCO and 6 CEM3360 Dual VCA. I
think there are 4 voice chips?
Anyone had a similar problem? I find it curious that I have'nt tracket this problem on the net.
Which is a testament to the way this synth is built I guess, built like a tank
