Hi, Can anyone help me here, I am used to using a xp 10, but I have bought a dx 9, as my friend had one years ago and liked it, as it arived today, I was excited, and strted pressing buttons left right and centre, not taking track of what I was doing, now when I press a notr down, this is any note, strike the note once, and it plays normal, then strike the same note the second time, and it jumps up one octave, if I hold my finger on the note, it falls down to the other octave in a lazey mannor, like fading down if this makes sense.

Does it happen on each operator? If you switch the other three off, does one still produce the problem?

Sounds like you've got a split on either velocity or attack & a delayed response 2nd voice for the sound when you keep the key down. Look in Functions at LFO & PMD.

Been years since I've played with one, but if you have a look at some of the Complex&Effects sounds you should get an idea of what's happening.

You can d/l a manual from http://www.blackstrobe.co.uk/yamaha.html

Good luck
