Hello,
I have recently picked up a second hand Audio Technica AT877 Mic
for use with my PD170 DV camera. It came with no paperwork so i
have to ask a (probably) silly question:
What does the switch near the base of the mic do? It has two
settings and works on both so I imagine it narrows or widens it's
capture field...any idea which, what and how?...
Many thanks, Baz

Low freq' roll off?... does it show a symbol next to it like a line with a bent angle? - the switch on an 897 is roll off anyways... switch it and see if you notice the bass-end get lighter

I had an idea for a script once. It's basically Jaws except when the guys in the boat are going after Jaws, they look around and there's an even bigger Jaws. The guys have to team up with Jaws to get Bigger Jaws.... I call it... Big Jaws!!!
