Hi, I have just bought an SP 808EX. I believe it supposed to come with 64 banks of on-board samples but I can seem to access them. I never got a manual or a demo CD with it either. I'm scared that perhaps I have bought a unit thats been damaged or has some how lost all it's 64 banks of samples.

Can some one please tell me if I've been ripped off. The only samples I can access came on a non Roland zip disc, without the zip disc, there are no samples that are accessable to me.

I hope some one can help me out.

why doncha dowload the manual from Roland & check everything out?... anyways it's no big deal to loose factory samples, you're gonna use your own anyways, not the factory ones

I had an idea for a script once. It's basically Jaws except when the guys in the boat are going after Jaws, they look around and there's an even bigger Jaws. The guys have to team up with Jaws to get Bigger Jaws.... I call it... Big Jaws!!!

the manual - 38mb - quickly looking at it, it seems there's no factory samples or song internaly held in the unit. All that stuff instead comes on the factory supplied zip disk, so there's nothing internal to loose as far as i can see.

Best bet is to sample some sounds yourself and test it all out.... for which you'll need the manual
