Finally! Just ordered NI's Komplete! Should arrive by Tuesday or Wednesday and with any luck I'll be writing shite tracks by next weekend!

on another note, you've all no doubt heard about the NASA astronaut being charged with attempted kidnapping and attempted murder of another female astronaut, supposedly over jealously concerning a male astronaut. Well here's the scoop.

Being as how she's an astronaut, investigators had to launch an investigation

She freaked out when the astronaut she is in love with told her he needed his space.

She believed they were solarmates. After all, they shared the same pad.

She's now wearing an electronic ankle bracelet so that she won't take flight.

Her victim is now considering filing a civil space suit.

Women like that kinda scare me. I mean....she was a real mission control freak

The important thing is that in the end the victim managed to get away. Otherwise we would have been reading about her in the orbituaries.

Actually I feel sorry for the accused woman. She must've gone off the deep end and lost it.

If I didn't know better, I'd say he was really some kind of pun-spamming bot.

Good work on picking up the new NI stuff - Reaktor 5 is kick-ass!

Worked on a track this weekend. I was hoping to finish it but it'll have to wait until this coming weekend. Still it's fun to be back at it....whatever *it* turns out to be.

I hit a bump in the road though. For whatever reason I haven't been able to register or "activate" all of the programs that came with Komplete 4, one of them being Reaktor 5. NI is working with me to get the situation resolved and from the last email I saw from them this morning it sounds like I'll have it sorted out by tonight after work or tomorrow night. *crosses fingers

The new Activation Centre software has been the mother of all balls-ups by NI, so many people have had problems.

Luckily, mine worked fine first time

Reaktor was somewhere in the $4-$500 US range from what I recall but might've been 3 and change too.

That's about £750, and considering what you get I think it's a good deal. Mind you, I do seem to be the resident NI whore round these parts.

What would you get for £750? One 303? I'll stick with Reaktor thanks

have to agree with moujik. 11 synths and samplers including Reaktor which comes with a ton of synths both additive and subtractive, sequencers, and samplers, effects, and then you go to the available user made modules and you can spend weeks downloading alone. Some of the user made are awesome...and of course you can make your own.

then there's FM8, Pro53, Absynth, Kontakt, Acoustic Piano, Electric Piano, B3 Organ, Battery, Guitar Rig, Vocator, and Spectral Delay. Acoustic Piano contains a sample library of the best pianos in the world including Boesendorfer and Beckstein pianos. I can't wait to start putting those through Spectral Delay.
