ive noticed that there are 2 versions of the drumstation..one with yellow, one with red decals on the machine...

whats the differernce, which is the latest, and if the rom was changed,is there an upgrade available/are they compatible?

also,is it just mine,or do the outputs/instruments get quieter the more i assign to an output?
does everyone get odd digital noises when i play too many noises together?

Last year we Re-engineered the Mechanical parts of the DrumStation.

There is no electrical difference.

Hold down the Audition button and switch it on while holding this button down. The display will show the software version of the Drumstation. It should be 13.

If not contact your local dealer for an upgrade.

hi..i went into turnkey in london and the sales person had never heard about a possible rom upgrade or availability of a rom..is it possible to get it from novation direct, and is it just a matter of unplugging a chip and inserting a new one,or is it soldered on the pcb.

Contact our office about new ROMS. Our policy is you send in the old Eproms and we reprogram them and send them back to you. Hold down Audition button and switch on, If it displays 13 then you have the latest version already.

My drumstation reports to be V12, not 13. I have no problems with it other than odd blips turning up which I reckon is the PSU - what's the difference between 12 and 13, and is it worth the hassle of upgrading?
