Hi
I'am an absolute beginner in midi-sequencing and buyed a supernova a few days ago. Can somebody explain me please step-by-step what i have to to, when i want to put a sound i.e TeaSub Bass (A054) to Part 1 in Performance Mode, Bank B000, Midi Channel 1. How it works by hand is no problem. But i want that this changes are made by the Sequencer Programm (Cubase AV) just before the sound plays.
Maybe you would say: "Start recording on sequencer and press all the buttons you need to do the changes on supernova and that's it."
But i tried it and it doesn't worked. At the end when i choose the sound i.e. A054 the supernova changes to Program Mode, but i need the Performance Mode when i want send 8 different sounds (parts) to 8 different midi channels on my sequencer. Please help me. Greetings from Switzerland.

Hereīs something you could try in order to work with eight midi channels on the supernova:

1-Select an unused performance.
2-Select a part, then press the "midi" button.
3-In the screen will appear the midi channel to what the part is assigned; slect the one you like.
4-Press polyphony and select mono or poly, as you prefer.
5- Repeat the procedure wiht the eight parts, assigning them to the channels you want, then save the performance so that you can use it at any time.
Note: if you select a for a part a channel which coincides with the global midi channel, when you send a program message for that part it will affect to all the synth(f.ex. changing unexpectedly from perf. to prog. mode instead of chaging the program in the selected part of the perf.); But, in fact, this isnīt a problem because in "global" mode you can change the general midi channel to an unused one.

Assuming that you have the sequencer configured correctly, I think that it should work now; at least, I hope that this could serve to help you.
