How do I get the Supernova to NOT reccieve program change codes??
If I disable sysex reccieve from main button nothing happends.
Point is if I upload a midi file from the net, it has system exclusive and program changes galore(i.e. whenever you press rewind, volum and presets jump back to some "initial position") so whatever sound I choose from the nova is arbitrary as the midi seq decide anyhow.

There is also Controllers and NRPN's in MIDI Files.

Supernova cannot filter this data out.

You will have to alter the source MIDI file in cubase or similar sequencer.

It would probably be possible to easily filter out incoming Program Change messages in future OS updates (OS 3 IS due soon - honest !)

How many people would actually find this useful ? Any takers ?

I filter this kind of info out from the sequencer itself.
In Cubase you can filter out various different types of data.

yes... all sequencer i know have these filters both for In & outgoing midi streams....
