Subject: Audio Synch up

Can anyone tell me how to sync up an audio file with your tempo. EX: Lets say you want to remix an old song and just bootleg it.Is there a way without timestretching the audio to sync up the audio with your existing tempo ?

There is only two ways that I know of...
Timestrech ( Check out the PC application ACID, wicked at this!)
Or Pitch. Sample it in a sampler and tune it up or down in pitch..this changes the tempo.
In my experience if you are using a Hard Disk recorder like Cubase VST there is no pitch option...Timestretch is really the only realistic option.
By the way we dont make samplers or HD recorders!
