Subject: cant get the mixmaps to work

I downloaded the Mixmaps and cant get them to open. Im running Cubase 3.52 on a Powermac.

You may need to edit them if they have come to you on the internet via a unix server.
the clue for this is do they come up with the right icon on your desktop...if its blank then you mac cannot understand what it is and cubase will not load it.

How exactly do you edit the mixer maps to make them recognisable to cubase under the Mac OS?

Only edit a copy of the mix map in case you screw it up...From memory...open a "Good" mixmap with resedit. There is a option ( I think in file menu ) that is called show file info or something similar...when this is selected a window appears showing details about the file...there are 2 boxes in the top of this file...Creator and Type I think...write down ( Case Sensitive ) the contents of these boxes...open the duff mix map with resedit...open the show file info window and type in the same stuff into the boxes. ( They will be blank )close the window and resedit will ask if you want to save...yes..there you done it.
