I have been using my SBR with Cubase on Atari with no problems. I have recently started using a Yamaha RM1X, and each time I change sequence pattern or stop and start patterns, the SBR resets itself to patch 00.

I have turned off program change and controller change messages in the RM1X MIDI filter, but the problem still persists. None of my other modules is affected.
I have seen previous messages relating to OS upgrade, I have OS 11. Is this a likely cure?
Cheers.

Very Weird...

Can you record these midi messages into cubase and tell me what they are?

Do you have a midi analizer program to read whats coming out of the RM1x?

Hi Phil

I have recorded the messages into Cubase, and it seems the RM1X transmits program and control change(Bank select) messages with each button press, even when they are de-selected in the MIDI filter page!
I am waiting on a reply from Yamaha at the moment. I'll let you know the outcome, it may be of interest to other SBR owners who may be thinking of buying an RM1X.
I only hope I dont have to choose between the two if there is no solution!

Cheers,
Andy.
P.S. Is it worth getting the 1.9 OS upgrade?
