Part 2 refuses to store the program number it always goes to A000 or B000 depending what bank the program is in. Is this a simple problem??

assign a voice to channel 2. But i save it and when i go back to the perforamce bank it does the above. This seems to happen with all the performances only for Part 2 (which i want assigned to ch.2)

No, midi in and midi out is hooked up. I'll try again now.

Hmmm. I'm getting a similar problem. I'm trying to follow the worked example in the manual. I choose performance A126 (Multi Ch1-8). Then start assigning programs to each of the channels. But when I go back to the performance, the programs I selected have got changed to different ones. I'm running Cubase VST at the time, though pressing the buttons on front panel of the Supernova.

Hold on. If I exit Cubase then it starts working correctly!!! Does this mean Cubase is echoing front panel button presses or something?

Hi Paul, yeah the front panel sends out all button presses knob twiddles etc and cubase echoes them, but it's bounced back to whatever channel cubase is on so that part is changed. If cubase has part 2 highlighted and you change part 3, cubase receives this and sends it back to part 2 which will also change. This is the normal thing, same on any instrument really.
This is what I do, in cubase I always have a VST track (i.e.audio track) at least one there, and before I save progs or perfs I move up to the VST track (i.e. the safe zone), so any PC messages that come into cubase don't get echoed anywhere and you don't get these weird things happening.
Any weird shit like this that happens is always midi loops.

oops, I should say it's not technically a "midi loop" but it's midi messages going around and ending up in unexpected places, more of a "midi horse shoe" ;-)

sorry
