I'm not sure if this has been asked before, apologies if it has:

When I press the demo/finder button it plays a little tune or sequence depending on what the current patch selected is.

However when you are trying to create a new patch it is a real pain when you are trying to twiddle knobs at the same time (ooh vicar!).

Is there a way to set it so it just plays a single note, say A below middle C ?

Couldn't I just play the note I want off my midi keyboard, I hear you ask. Nope, my midi keyboard is too far away from my rack to reach comfortably.

So I'd like to trigger a single note at the same time as changing knob settings to hear how they sound.

thanks

Paul K

For I program pads most of the time I don't want a single note but a major seven chord in my favorite key a#. And the demo/finder button should at least be velocity sensitive, aftertouch is not required ;-)

Sorry, Stefan

Okay, okay. A major seventh chord then. I'm not fussy !

Hm, I'm more interested in finding out how to turn the whole feature off. It's quite annoying when I'm trying out my song with, say, different lead sounds, with my sequencer running (so I can hear the sound in context) and the finder blurting its demonstration phrase over the top of my song. Yuk.

If you just press the Demo button again while the demo sequence is running, it will stop instantly.
