Hey there,
I've been the proud owner of a Roland vs-880 for some time now
and I'm finally gonna have some time to record.
Being a beginer I need some info on how I'm gonna connect the
vs880 to a DAT recorder and my PC. I also need some info or links
Various sampler/sequencer software I could get my hands on.

I'm no expert, but your PC will need a digital I/O card to interact with the other two. You can put audio into a card like an AWE 32 but it would have to be analog inputs and that will add noise and decrease fidelity. Digital I/O basicly transfer information without signal loss. A DAT should have a digital I/O built in. You'd probably use the S/PDIF. (Sony/Phillips Digital InterFace)
