i have a sound blaster 16 and a kawai keyboard... can i use thes
to make midi??? or drum beats??? or any kind of music for that matter...
actually im having trouble connecting the two together..(havent been able to get them to work)
please help me it's frustrating , thanks!!!

Yup.....all you need is a sequencer programme, and some midi cables to connect the PC with the Kawai.....then you can build up the system around the Kawai, adding stuff as you expand.

but i got those already but the computer doesn't
seem to "see" the kawai...
damn i cant get it to work...

Your computer will never 'see' the Kawai - you'll need
to make sure the MIDI Out from the computer enters the
MIDI In into your keyboard... also make sure your MIDI
channel in your sequencing program is the same as the
MIDI channel on your keyboard. If there is still a
problem, it's either your computer software or your
keyboard - MIDI signals aren't complicated things...
By the way, what are you using to get the MIDI signal
from your SoundBlaster card to your keyboard?

hmmmmmmmm.....It's very hard to say what is the problem here withut a bit more detail....I would say, first get the Kawai checked to make sure it is sending & recieving midi....then it's down to the sequencer & card...
