CS1x owners will know what a SHITE it is that you can only record ONE performance track down to a sequencer, thats as far as i understand it anyway , ive only had mine for around a month, anybody know any different?

Also (bit of a midi lamer i`m afraid), i want to use my Mc-303, cs1x and awe64.Gold, together
but i havent got the time to sit there and work it all out, any help available, P.s nice site m8

I've got a cs1x and the above statement is true. i've
read several sites that say you can have more than
one performance if you assign each individual layer
of a performance to the next set of channels(eg layer 1
to chan 5,layer 2 to chan 6 etc) but you can only use
one set of effects and this will be used by the 1st
performance so you'll never get the same sound as
how it originally sounded. If anyone knows any
different then let me know!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've had to add more kit to make up the cs1x deficencies.
The drums just don't cut it...a novation drum station was a
great addition.

Still a great synth for the money though dude.......

Yup.......well that's what I said in the review...You will have to juggle with layers/channels to try to get a similar sound......so it's not really a multi-timbrel synth in that respect of the special sounds......you have to ask is it worth 600 quid, when you could get some other kit for the price....

well....I`d defenetly say its worth 600 quid, although turnkey done mine for 500 (so even more worth it)
but , would it make any difference if you used a yamaha sequencer rather than PC based? i dunno , i`m afraid i`m one of these
people that "SAYS NO" to instruction manuals , i prefer to mess with it until i figure it (maybee thats where i`m going wrong)

someone must know something
P.S...Where do i get XG EDIT, ive got cs1x edit , but its not all that

Cheers

Is there a better used keyboard to get at about the same price as the CS1X. Something where you could get more than one performance sound at a time? I like the sounds on the CS1X but I don't if I would be happy with it.

Well a pc based sequencer will kick the ass of a
hardware sequencer. It won't make one jot of difference
to the performance capabilities of the CS1X if you use
a yamaha hardware sequencer over another type.

yes it's a bit confused.....but you cant simply choose another 'Special' sound, assign it to a midi cahannel & go
