OK..... say if a manufacturer could create a new product, and you could call its design/functions & set the price...(realistic).......what would it be ???

OK for me, I'd like a modular rack similar to the old REBIS FX racks...(this was a 4 or 5 ish U high 19 inch bare rack frame, with a power supply bus feeding pc type multiconnectors, into which you added slot in (horizontaly/front to back) cards, so each card was 4 ish units high, and about 2 inches wide, I think you could get about 8 cards in a rack....anyhow....you could plug in a sampler card, a drumbox card, fx cards, synth cards etc etc.........oh yeah....its a PC.shit !!.........

Yeah, I'd love a keyboard version of that, with a screen at least the size of Yamahas 02/r or QY700, ribbon controllers, knobs, sliders and err........

I know this isn't realistic, but I want a devise that
looks like a pair of bonoculars and I can program into it
anything I've misplaced, then when you look through it,
alls you see is that thing you've lost. Course, I'd
prolly lose it as well...

I could use some midi controllers that could talk to my sound card. Maybe one that is a ribbon style, and maybe one thats touch sensative.. That would help for controlling peramiters and creating cool sounds. Also what i could really use would be a panel of midi controllers, set up like a 16 track mixer, with mutes, a fader and maybe some knobs for each track. Maybe one that is even motorized to express the current values? is there such a thing already?

This one could happen, perhaps- a virtual vocoder! Then
I could be like Roger from Zapp and no one would know
if I really could sing or not.
And a virtual King Tubby's EFX panel- with all his
classic analog delays, dials, and jerry-rigged effects.
To give even the most un-funky PC-based music producer
the (un-imitatable) powers of the dub master...Please
