909s suck shit. Nearly every commercial bullshit, tossy, lame-ass, "let's make a crappy pop tune" record I can think of uses the 909. -kylie, danii, 2 unlimited, etc, etc, etc. FUCK EM!!!!!! Stick with the 808. The 808kick goes BOOOOOOOMMMM. The 909 just goes thud. Stick with the real shit and just fwreak it.

Firstly ...What is a ratfuck ( the guy who typed this is on permenent pain killers )?
Secondly...909`s are a bit over used, as is everything once in a while, but the whole reason for me wanting a 909 version is for a bit of flexability, i like some 808 sounds, and also some 909 sounds, ok with you!?
Thirdly...Hammerhead and rb338 will NOT work together, as they both use samples!unless your soundcard was made by santa`s little magical pixie people
and finally "Serve 2" although i agree that there is alot of shit poppy music out there using the same "bass, hi-hat, clap ,bass, hi-hat, clap ,bass, hi-hat, clap ,"
sound,and i fuckin` despise it too, the thing is, there making money and you aint!, and just to add to this, i think your a twat.., and to the guy who thinks we should all say bollcks to a PC and go out and buy REAL world instruments (prat), well go on m8, spend your thousands on these instruments, and i bet with my pc, one master keyboard an effects processor a vocalist and a few quality soundbanks i could make you shit bricks for a month...

So , has anybody got a version made up yet?

er...........I thought mr Warren G was serving at her majesties pleasure ?..........anyhow......this is a totally pointless discussion, 909, 808, 707, 606, 505, .......fuckin 404 for all I give a shit.....just get on with yer tracks......whether you like it or not, the 909 kik at least is pretty well established, .....so I dont think it or the 808 is going away somehow.......so why dont we call a general amnesty for all the old drum boxes huh??......BUT.......agreed, 808 & 909 make up the majority of dance drum sounds whether fucked with, or straight from the box........so it would make sense to include 909 drums in with a dance based machine.

figure out your pattern with the 808 drums, then remember your drum pattern or write it down or something. Then, kill the drums in the mix, export your rebirth song as a wave file, program your beats with the Hammerhead, again, export, and sync the shit up. Voila!

Maybe I just don't listen to enough gangsta rap... But do Warren G and Dr Dre even use 303s? A 909 just seems to go with that techno sound, but I don't think that 808 drums sound as good for that kind of music, especially the straight 4/4 bump. And do 303s sound good in rap? Seems like the Rebirth is aimed at techno, and not rap.

First off...I have a pc because I do dtp for a living. I started out using "real" instruments too (guitar,drums etc) and just later discovered making music with a computer. Now believe me I would rather have a 909, 808, Juno, etc. etc. and everything else you lucky people diss/brag about. But I don't: either I can't afford it or there's none to be had around here. Now is that going to stop me from making music? NO! So I make do with what limited resources I have; I already have a computer so I use it instead of dreaming about the day when I finally have Real World Instruments. You may be an authority on electronic music but you know nothing about struggling people/musicians on the other side of the planet. It's narrow-minded people like you that suck creativity NOT COMPUTERS. (I do have a little 606, I'm terribly sorry for that...)

yup........forget all the crap.....If you can get a track together with a few cheap or free softs & some
loops, then go for it....... you dont need to have heaps of gear.....
I can guarantee you there are a few guys in this town I know of getting some jungle & other stuff
out on 12" simply using an old version SAW 4 track and some sample cd's.......so just do it !!....you can always add some hardware stuff to the system as you go along

What the fuck is so creative about sampling cd ? Buy a record player and scour 2nd hand-shops for sweet ol' vinyl.

PPPPPPS: You can use Hammerhead and Rebirth together
when you record the Patterns as WAVs and mix
them together in a Sound File Editor (Cool Edit
for Example) or put them into your Sampler- or
Soundcard�s RAM and mix them in Cubase !

personally i dont see the problem with using samples
as long as they sound good and rebirth does, so come on lets
give it a bit of credit cause we all use it, if we didnt we
would not be talking about it, do guys at propellor heads

well done for a great piece of software, and i would buy it if you could
use it without having to have the cd in the cd-rom,

thats the only downer about the full registed version

Someone help me,,,,,,Here's the situation,,,,I,m running cubase 2.1 on an ATARI1040 and running RE~BIRTH on the PowerPC. I am try to sync the two of them.
I follow the manual to a tee from the PROHEADS but still nothing. Maybe I,m overlooking something,,,HELP!

Who are you kidding guys?
The stomper software is good for phat kicks, but you can't
get something like the 909 hats, they're samples (yes the
909 is partially digital(!?)).

Anyone knows how to make good claps with stomper?

Is there a midicontrolled version of rb-338 comming up(
controlling the filters with hardware would be cool)?

Here you can Download the 9o9 Rebirth

this Executeable works only if you have purchased the
original... It does not work with the Demo-Version.

PS: It is not a perfect Patch (Snare for example...)
The Kick is from my JomoX XBase09 ;)
