does anyone know how to rig up some monitors without buying some? I just want to be able to monitor my music and don't have any monitors. I have various speakers and electronic gadgets at my house, but don't know anything about impedance or anything like that. Is there any way I could use stereo equipment without screwing up my stereo?

sorry Kilo, shoulda read the "monitors" section before posting... Still, if anyone has additional ideas, I'd like to hear them.

oh yeah - if I send the line out from my sound card to my hifi, will it fuck with my system? Should I stick it in "AUX"?

yup....use the CD input....AUX input....or (if you aint attatching a cassette to the amp) the TAPE input.....hi fi gear is fine for home monitoring.......
