There is a program called "Cylonix" which is a Vocoder. You can download the demo at www.cim.mcgill.ca/~clark/cylonix.html. I just downloaded it and played with it a bit. The sound quality wasn't great but that may be my sound card. Let me know what you think. The program was written for a Soundblaster but is suppose to work with any full duplex card.

Changing the subject slightly, I have a Roland Vocoder Plus VP330. I bought it over ten years ago now. I paid £360 (english money) for it. How much is it worth now ? Is it worth keeping it ?

I think that Zerius Vocoder is very fast and produces very good sound quality, but it has no graphic interface and you've got to read the docs and play with parameters before getting a good result. There are versions for all platforms and the program is freeware.
I can live without easy interface for a while, 'cause the main thing is worth of it.

Hi,

I'll have a vocoder with a basic windows user interface probably by the end of the week. It will be pretty much the same as the Zerius vocoder. Anyone interested? I also have plans to make it Active Movie compatible ( yes, I am a software developer ) so you can use it as a plug-in in all the big audio packages - I may have to charge something small for that effort tho ).

paul.
