Here's the deal: I want to and already make techno. Right now I do it on PC using Making Waves, Orangator, Cood Edit, Stomper, and various wavs from around the net. Here's the problem: I cannot get the sound I want without a keyboard. For instance, when making synth sounds, Orangator does not really give a cool sound, just a plain old pianoish sound. I've got prophecy wavs, but there is no way to put them into Orangator is there? And using them in Making Waves sucks because you can only use one length of notes and you cannot slide notes together. Am I way off base, or do I need to buy a keyboard? advance thanx

If you have a soundblaster (or gravis) card, check out analogic and/or audiosim; it lets you play notes from the keyboard. as to orangator, try playing around some more (I know it's sloooow) but you CAN put your prophecy waves in there and then shape the melody with the graphic controller. you can simulate slides this way...glad to see someone is using almost exactly the same setup I'm using.
