I've just tested recycle, and I have to say that surgeon (s/w) is an exact "copy". And it costs a fraction!!! The same goes for a lot of of s/w-apps... Inspired music-software makers spred their brainchild for free or for a moderate fee. And I'm wondering how the makers of surgeon, and the makers of CoolEdit can make money on their fees, whilst Steinberg claim they have to cover Research&dev., distribution etc.?? You do the math. But it still won't add up....

no, wait up, surgeon won't send the samples to your sampler via scsi and create a patch for them.....and another thing recycle has a higher threshold.

ehh...in Norway, the retail price for REcycle is ca. £350, whilst the reg. fee for surgeon is £15.
I'm not debating the fact that recycle is a better app. than surgeon (with more possibilities) , but pointing out the fact that Steinberg is making a lot more dough than they should. I mean, square circle are making money on surgeon, aren't they?

Try 'Compact Split' as well, especially if you're doing soundcard sampling.
