Has anyone heard it, seen it , played it , smelt it...etc. All I hear is how fucking great this damn thing is , thats nice, but tell me how it sounds, what are the specs, hows the interface? Kilo, is this something else you have to keep under wraps like that Supernova? lets get a review, huh... Intox

It's a lovely looking piece of kit thats for sure and
very well made. It's a 909 clone and all the sounds are
analogue generated.It has 10 song memories,100
performance memories and 64 pattern memories.
There are seperate outs for the kick, snare and hihats
but the mixout is mono!!! Which means no panning of
the drum sounds. All the other sounds come from one
output. All the sounds bar the ride can be reversed.
At £700 it's a very expensive way of getting that 909
sound..you could pick up an original 909 in the private
ads if you shoped around. It hasn't got a headphone
socket either. It does have a full midi spec.

It's Holgers rave bit of kit........ real analog , but you only get 3 sounds..... correct ?... kik, snare & hats..... I asked the company for a review...... or a demo, NO response... inerestingly the same company promoting the Syntechno over here, another great synth with very little promotion......

I can post a picture no problem, Holger is going to do a write up I think at some stage..... yes Holger ??........ I said he can send me a demo of the unit, & i'll post the RA files here .......

Only the Bass and snare drum are analogue. All the
rest are samples. The hi-hats do have an analogue
VCA envelope though.

its the best looking knew machine that I've seen in a long time (authentic) . I'm sick of all this silver plastic spaceship type of look and the rest of these cheesy looking machines . One thing that I don’t get is if each step has its own configuration how can you like say tweak the tuning of a snare on step two without affecting tuning on a bongo that you created from the snare on step three!? Holger boy express yourself know!!!!

I can mail some MP3 or RA Files to you, Kilo...

Or i can send the whole box for a review when i
get my A3000 or Supernova for reviewing ;)

Okay - no prob, but i am very busy at the moment and
not at home right now.

I am in Berlin doing some work.

Tomorrow i visit Jomox and get a Software upgrade
for the Box.

Later more

Holger

Just read a reveiw of it in keyboard magazine.I won't rehash above, just add that the strenght of the unit is the fact that it send and recieves fader movements(the knobs)
via midi so it can create complex timbres with just three voices-also you can record the kit into your fav sequencer
and use it as a sound module.Still it is about $900 US,
the Drumstastion is cheaper and has more voices, more sounds. The reveiw was kind though. The concept is cool.
