Hi,the Korg Prophecy is sooo cheap now i'm
considering getting one. Anyone able to offer
any appraisals on its suitability as a dance synth?
Or should I save a bit more and get a Nord lead
rack?

well the prophesy, is only mono-timbrel....one sound on one channel...... whereas the nord is 4 party multi....... 4 sounds on 4 channels.....

I belive Nord lead II gives ya' 12 voices and 4 outs...
However, it doesn't sound as wicked as the Prophecy.

I've just ordered one at �419 which isn't bad considering
that 9 months ago they were �1000. I'll let ya know how
good it is for dance once i've mastered it.
