Any advice from experienced users on a good low cost phrase sampler ie: yamaha su10, akai s20 or roland sp202? Thanks for your help.

Ec8or uses an su10 on stage. I had one for 3 weeks, easy to use and versatile; it's got less power than the others, although they're all weak, so that shouldn't be a big deal. It's also one of the few stereo external filters (resonant), worth the s/h price alone.

I bought an SU10, and then returned it. I really isnt that good. I saved up and am now going to buy the MPC 2000! That is gonna be PHAT!



Save your money for something better

remember, a decent s/h sampler like the s-900,emax,fz etc will be more versatile than a phrase sampler... and about the same price....... you can easily assign all your samples to one keymap, mark out the sample names with a strip of masking tape, and trigger them live from the keyboard....plus it will be a great studio tool too.....

absolutely........ dont waste yer dosh.if at all possible, get an old sampler....miles better.....

Totaly agree with all above. Save up for something better or, if you only are going to work with phrases and loops, do it with the comuter in VST or such like.
