What shareware programs are good for making hip hop tracks?I need sequencing and something to make drum tracks with sampling,editing,effects processing,and some thing for the mixdown so i can go straight from my computer to m tapedeck

Hammerhead for beats... You could use a tracker(best:
Impulse Tracker) for seq, or Making Waves...

I think Making Waves is probably the best.. It's tight, easy to use and sounds good depending on your sound card.


To add effects you could just get Cool Edit 96, load the samples in there, add a bit of reverb, chorus or whatever, save it under a different name and then load it back into MW where the original dry version was.
