Hey, does anyonw know how to get the digital out working on the AWE64 Gold? I tried recording something from there to my DAT and it didn't work.

Bought a Terratec EWS64XL and plugged it in next to my AWE64 Gold.
I run the SPDIF out of the Gold to the SPDIF in on the EW64 and it works fine for me.
Though I am only using the wavetable synth.
Maybe it only sends the wavetable out!!!
Try it!!

I installed the gold last week and the spdif I plugged straight into the digital input of my DCC machine - worked first time although no 3d effects recorded
not being funny -have you connected the lead to the card?

hmmm... Had the same problem, only wavetable is going over the digital out although someone else on here a while ago was claiming it was possible to get ALL sound over the digital out, not only the wavetable... but then, he didn't even have an AWE64.

It seems that our freinds at Creative Labs may have made a
mistake on a certain batch of cards.
This is not the first time.
Most of the AWE64's that were shipped before the third
quarter of '97 don't regonise Roland PC200, A30 and
A33 Keyboards. The new ones do.

I think that you should contact your dealer and get them to find out why your SPDIF ain't working to it's
fullest.,.,.

if you don't come right then let me know I will see what I can do,.,.
