Original Message 1/5 03-Feb-98 @ 12:48 AM - defently the best sample-soundcard mixture !
Combination for using the PC as a professional Sampler
first Card:
Turtle Beach Pinnacle
Resonant Highpass & Lopass Filters
good Effects
Dig I/O
20 Bit analog D/A A/D
and in combination with 2 x these Card:
Digidesign Sample Cell II PC (ISA)
a total of 16 individual outs (2 Cards)
plus 2 mono outs from the Pinnalce (l/r)
= 18 single - outs (with reso-filters on 2 of them)
for only DM 3500.- (incl. all the Ram you need)
thatīs better (and cooler to handle) than any of the new
rack mounted devices like A3000, S2000, ESI 4000 etc....
think it over ( will there ever be a Software - Editor for Yamahaīs A3000 ?)

i donīt want to translate the german text into english but
is IS really an Waldorf Microwave 2 XT !
i contacted waldorf and tell you the news, soon ....
Holger
PS: Hmmm, it seems that this Terratec EWS Board is really
cool in combination with the MW2XT add-on then.
Okay - but i think the "pure" EWS Board sucks, because you loose
voices when you use many fx together because there is not enough
dsp power for example ... that is not really cool !
The TBS Pinnacle does not use any voice when u heavily use
all effects at the same time altogether and so on. That is really Cool !
But i think a Microwave 2 XT "add on" is much cooler than
"only a good sampling card"
